Summary

One hundred and three isolates of L. monocytogenes in freshly deboned meat, chilled pieces and dry sausages were characterised by multilocus enzymatic electrophoresis in a factory environment. Twenty-one types of electrophoretics were distinguished. An analysis of the genetic relations between these types highlighted two different groups. Study of the frequence of isolates belonging to these two groups during meat processing. Some isolates were characterised by chromosomal DNA analysis.
