Performance, energy, and global warming issues of R410A, a HFC replacement for HCFC-22.
Author(s) : SPATZ M. W., HUGHES H. M., ZYHOWSKI G.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Significant energy savings were found, derived from two independent factors: R410A's higher COP reduced compressor electric use and R410A's higher capacity shifted more of the load to vapour compression and away from inefficient supplementary heat. Significant reduction in TEWI were also found.
