DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF A US FACTORY TRAWLER OF 296 FEET ON RETURN FROM THE BERING SEA WITH 900,000 LBS OF FROZEN COD FILLETS. THE PREVIOUS VOYAGE RETURNED WITH 1,500,000 LBS. TRIMMINGS FROM THE FILLETING WERE FROZEN INTO BLOCKS FOR FISH CAKES, STICKS AND PORTIONS. FILLETS PACKED, 15 LBS, NET INTO WAXED CARTONS, POLYETHYLENE BETWEEN LAYERS, THEN FROZEN FOR 2 HRS 15 MIN TO CORE TEMPERATURE 250 K (-23 DEG C). C.R.F.
