AS USUAL FOR SEVERAL YEARS (SEE Bull. IIR, ABSTR. N 78-0234), THE A. REPORTS THE PRIZES AWARDED BY A QUALIFIED PANEL TO VARIOUS FROZEN MEAT PRODUCTS PROCESSED IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY. FOR READY-TO-COOK FOODS, 11 SAMPLES OUT OF 37 (29.7%) OBTAINED THE TOP PRIZE, 10 (27%) A SILVER MEDAL AND 8 (21.6%) A BRONZE MEDAL. FOR PRECOOKED FROZEN FOODS TO BE HEATED, 50 SAMPLES OUT OF 57 HAD AN AWARD: 19 (32.2%) WERE AWARDED THE TOP PRIZE, 21 (36.9%) A SILVER MEDAL AND 10 (17.6%) A BRONZE MEDAL. THIS PRIZE LIST CONFIRMS THE GOOD GENERAL QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS TESTED. THE CRITICS MAINLY RELATE TO UNSATISFACTORY PACKAGING, THE PERCENTAGE OF MEAT AND ACCOMPANYING VEGETABLES, SEASONING.. G.G.
