Summary

The efficiency of an alkaline sanitation agent used to eliminate psychrotrophic bacteria isolated from milk was tested. Adhering to application conditions of the agent (concentration 0.7%; temperature of the solution 65 °C; application time 10 min) devitalization of bacteria was determined both in the environment with and without organic contaminants. A decrease in the temperature of the sanitation solution to 40 °C led to the survival of psychrotrophic bacteria in the environment with organic contaminants (at a concentration higher than 0.6 g per 100 ml).
