Summary
Physical properties of R134a, in comparison with those of R12: vapour pressure, heat capacity, efficiency. Calculation of evaporation and condensation pressures. Implementation of the conversion: increase in compression ratio; decrease in the temperature difference of heat exchangers; lubrication and gaskets. The author comes to the conclusion that R134a is a perfect substitute to R12. J.G.
