Tests were implemented on semi-hermetic compressors of various refrigerating capacities; these tests were carried out in accordance with the German DIN 80 standard, in the ILK Institute Dresden. The article reviews the test results: refrigerating capacity, power imput, COP, end-of-compression temperature, compression ratio. The authors recommend the use of polyolester.
