Summary
Besides the already-used mixture R69S-R69L, two others, HP81 and HP80, can be used as drop-in fluids in existing plants with no change of oil necessary. Their COPs and refrigerating capacities are almost the same as R502's. The chlorine-free mixture HP62, however, has a somewhat lower value than R502; on the other hand, its compression temperature is lower than R502's. With these practically azeotropic mixtures, leaks had almost no effect on mixture composition. Zeotropic mixtures had only minor concentration shifts when leaks were spotted in time.
