Summary
The output of frozen foods in Japan has been constantly increasing, reaching an annual rise of 8% in the years 1989-1991; prepared food makes up three fourths of the total output. Production of frozen foods for business use is also increasing rapidly. The manufacturers of frozen foods in Japan use computer integrated manufacturing and are seeking production bases and sources of raw materials abroad.
