Summary
The following results were obtained: the ripening degree in watermelons influenced cold-storage shelf life. The optimum storage temperature was 0-6 deg C. The economical storage duration was 60 days (in palette-cases or in bulk 1 m high); the storage loss reductions occur when the watermelons are treated by Rovral (0.15%), followed by Captan (0.2%).
