Summary

IT IS SHOWN THAT THE PERCOLATION NATURE OF THE SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION OF CERAMICS IN A MAGNETIC FIELD IS DETERMINED BY THE ANISOTROPY OF THE CRITICAL FIELDS OF THE INDIVIDUAL GRAIN THIS PERMITS ONE TO DESCRIBE THE MAGNETIC FIELD-INDUCED BROADENING OF THE RESISTIVE TRANSITION AND TO DETERMINE THE CRITICAL FIELDS OF A SINGLE CRYSTAL. THE EFFECT OF INHOMOGENEITIES IN THE COMPOSITION IS CONSIDERED.
