Retrofitting refrigerating plants.
Procédures de conversion d'installations frigorifiques.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The paper describes different operations to substitute: 1) R12 by R134a; 2) R12 by the "SUVA" mixture MP39; and 3) R502 by the "SUVA" mixture MP80. For 1), replacement of the drier, expansion valve and pressure gauge are recommended. For 2) and 3), only the drier must be replaced (in spite of the higher variation in saturation pressure than for 1). The operations deal with: necessary changes in the system; draining and replacement of oil and refrigerant; equipment required.
