Preliminary calculations are to be made to check the component size (compressors, exchangers, expansion equipment, etc.); opinions and guarantees of manufacturers are also required. The purge operations, and the filling with the new fluid are described in detail, with emphasis on the risks of pollution of the circuit, fluid or oil, on the necessary drying and on R134a flammability. The dangers of oxygen presence during the successive operations (because of the oil and the fluid) are also underlined.
