Summary

THERMODYNAMIC DESIGNDATA ARE INVESTIGATED FOR THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE-LITHIUM THIOCYANATE MIXTURE AND A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE THIS MIXTURE WITH THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE PAIR AND THE WATER-LITHIUM CHLORIDE PAIR IS GIVEN. THE INFLUENCES OF COMPONENT TEMPERATURES ON THE COOLING COP HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED TO OBTAIN OPTIMUM OPERATING CONDITION. IT IS FOUND THAT THE COOLING COP IS HIGHER FOR WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE-LITHIUM THIOCYANATE MIXTURE THAN FOR THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE PAIR OR FOR THEWATER-LITHIUM CHLORIDE PAIR.
