Summary

THE EXPERIMENTAL SOLAR PLANT IS MADE OF A REFRIGERATION MACHINE OF THE ABSORPTION TYPE FED BY SOLAR CELLS ALIGNED ON A PLANE SURFACE AND A BOILER USING WOOD CHIPS AS FUEL. THE IN-STALLATION GIVES SANITARY HOT WATER ALL YEAR LONG, REFRIGERATES A WINE CAVE DURING SUMMER AND PROVIDES HOUSEHOLD HEATING DURING WINTER TIME. THE MAIN GOALS ARE: TO STUDY THE BEHAVIOUR OF REFRIGERATION MACHINE USING SOLAR ENERGY ; TO TEST THE EXISTING EQUIPMENTS ; TO OPTIMIZE THE PROFITABILITY OF THE SYSTEM ; AND TO SEEK FOR THE RELIABILITY OF THE SYSTEM OVER LONG PERIOD OF TIME.
