Summary

LOW-POWER ULTRASOUND WAS USED TO IMPROVE THE CRYOPRESERVATION EFFICIENCY OF CELL SUSPENSIONS. THE EFFECTS OF ULTRASOUND ON PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF CRYOPRESERVATION SOLUTIONS, CRYSTALLIZATION PROCESSES, SPERM, ERYTHROCYTES, AND BONE MARROW WERE STUDIED UPON FREEZING AND THAWING. POSSIBLE MECHANISMS OF THE STIMULATING EFFECT OF ULTRASOUND ON CELL SUSPENSIONS SUBJECTED TO FREEZING ARE DISCUSSED.
