Summary

A PREVIOUS STUDY OF THE SPONTANEOUS CONDENSATION IS CARRIED OUT WITH A VIEW OFAPPLYING IT TO A FLOW ACROSS A CONVERGENT-DIVERGENT NOZZLE. THE STUDY IS ACHIEVED WITH R12. THE EVOLUTION OF THE THERMODYNAMIC IMBALANCE INSIDE THE SUPERSATURATED FLUID IS DETERMINED. THE WILSON LINE, WHICH DELIMITS THE SUPERSATURATION ZONE, IS LOCATED WITH RESPECT TO THE SATURATION CURVE. THE CRITICAL RADIUS OF THE CONDENSATION DROPLETS AND THEIR FORMATION RATE CORRESPONDING TO THE CRITICAL CONDITIONS OF THERMODYNAMIC IMBALANCE, ARE CALCULATED. IT IS SHOWN THAT, BECAUSEOF THE CONDENSATION DELAY, THE FLUID CAN BE CONSIDERED AS A PERFECT GAS FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE CRITICAL FLOW RATE.
