Thermodynamic properties of refrigerant-oil mixtures and their flow condensation in horizontal tubes. Engineering licentiate thesis.

Author(s) : SHAO W.

Type of monograph: Doctoral thesis

Summary

This thesis concerns the thermodynamic properties and flow condensation of oil contaminated refrigerant. The influence of oil on two thermodynamic parameters, vapour pressure and enthalpy, is studied. Experiments of condensation in a horizontal tube are performed using pure refrigerant as well as oil-contaminated refrigerant. Some discussions about correlations and flow patterns are also given. The refrigerants used are CFC-12, HCFC-22, HFC-152a and HFC-134a.
