Summary
In this paper, a mixing model for a temperature-stratified thermal storage tank is presented. The mixing model is modified from the mixing model which is based on the conditions in which input water temperature and flow rate are kept constant and the initial temperature in the storage tank is uniform. The mixing model is applied to numerical calculation of the water temperature in the thermal storage tank under variable input conditions.
