Summary
Fruits of the cultivar Shixia, stored at 0 deg C for 14 days, developed chilling injury which was irreversible after 21-28 days. Fruits stored at 4 deg C started browning only after 30 days; there was no chilling injury and 91% of fruits remained sound after 35 days. Ethylene production was low and exhibited no peak during storage.
