Substitute fluids: application to tropical climate.
Les fluides de remplacement : application en climat tropical.
Author(s) : TIXIER A.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The author studies the theoretical characteristics of R12 and R502 substitutes when used in a tropical climate, particularly with a high condensation temperature. For R12 substitution, R134a presents acceptable characteristics in these conditions, whereas transition fluids have a more variable behaviour. For R502 substitution, the characteristics of four HFC refrigerants (R407A and B, R404A, R507) are studied according to condensation temperature. They are difficult to use when condensation temperature is high.
