THE TYPE OF STORE, THE SIZE OF CARCASSES, TEMPERATURE, STORE LOADING AND LOCAL VARIATIONS OF TEMPERATURE HAVE AN EFFECT ON LOSS RATE. FOR MODERN SINGLE-STOREY STORES MASS LOSSES CAN BE PREDICTED WITH SUFFICIENT ACCURACY. FOR MULTI-STOREY STORES THE RESULTS ARE QUITE VARIABLE.
