The commercial use of Costherm and Heatsolv in the selection of freezing plant.

Author(s) : EVERINGTON D. W.

Summary

Experience to date indicates that when freezing times from known products are applied in Heatsolv the resulting surface heat transfer coefficients can be obtained which can then be applied to new products with a good degree of accuracy. The coefficients obtained are close to those obtained from measurement by using copper and aluminum blocks. The programme is interactive, which is ideal for industry, allowing results from plant tests to be used to build up accuracy of freezing time predictions.
