THE EFFECT OF SUCROSE, GLYCEROL, ETHYLENE GLYCOL, AND DMSO ON THE TEMPERATURES OF HETEROGENEOUS NUCLEATION OF ICE IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION AND IN AQUEOUS SILVER IODIDE HAS BEEN DETERMINED. IT APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO THE EFFECT THESE SOLUTES HAVE ON HOMOGENEOUS NUCLEATION.
