Author(s) : MCELDOWNEY S., FLETCHER M.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE: 277, 288 AND 298 K (4, 15 AND 25 DEG C) AND OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY (0, 34 AND 75%) ON THE SURVIVAL OF PSEUDOMONAS SP, ACINETOBACTER CALCOACETICUS, STAPHYLOCOCCUS SP AND ST AUREUS ATTACHED TO GLASS SURFACES IS DESCRIBED. THE SURVIVAL OF GRAM POSITIVE AND GRAM NEGATIVE BACTERIA IS SIMILAR AND PARTICULARLY BRIEF WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS HIGH. THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE VARIES WITH THE STRAIN. (Bibliogr. int.
