Summary
THE IMPACT OF ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY ON THE VARIOUS SEGMENTS OF THIS INDUSTRY. IN SOME SEGMENTS OF THE FROZEN FOOD INDUSTRY THERE WILL BE AN IMPACT OF ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES ON THE GROWTH OF THAT SPECIFIC SEGMENT. UNEVENLY HOWEVER IN THE DIFFERENT SEGMENTS. MOST OF THE IMPACT WILL BE FELT IN THE MEAT SEGMENT, THE VEGETABLE SEGMENT, FROZEN FISH FILLET PACK AND POSSIBLY ALSO IN THE SEGMENT READY MEALS. IN FACT THE TECHNIQUE OF PACKING FRESH PRODUCTS UNDER MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE COMBINED WITH CHILLING IS EXPECTED TO HAVE THE GREATEST IMPACT.
