Summary
The paper studies the effect of certain microbacterial strains, in particular Pseudomonas syringae, on the supercooling temperature in the cells of certain plants or fruits (eg kiwifruit). Certain strains show ice nucleation activity, others not. The reaction mechanism of these microorganisms is studied.
