Summary

THE KINETICS OF CHANGES IN RELATIVE CELL VOLUME, AND THE INTRACELLULAR CONCENTRATIONS OF PENETRATING AND NON-PENETRATING (ACROSS PLASMA MEMBRANE) SUBSTANCES WAS STUDIED UNDER CONDITIONS OF ISOTHERMAL CONTACT BETWEEN CELLS AND HYPERTONIC MEDIA BY COMPUTER CALCULATION OF A SYSTEM OF EQUATIONS WHICH DESCRIBED THE TRANSFER OF SUBSTANCES BETWEEN A CELL AND ITS ENVIRONMENT. UNIVERSAL SOLUTIONS WERE OBTAINED BY REDUCING THE SYSTEM TO UNDIMENSIONAL COMPLEXES AND RELATIVE VARIABLES.
