The replacement of R22 in refrigeration systems.

Summary
A test facility was constructed to examine the performance of alternatives to R22. For the purpose of the paper, the performance of R407C was compared to that of R22. It was found that R407C had a performance similar to that of R22 at higher evaporator temperatures, but its performance fell below that of R22 with decreasing evaporator temperature. The effects on evaporator performance of a 32 mm2/s viscosity polyolester compressor lubricating oil were also noted.
