Summary
The creation of the satellite rocket "Energija" would have been impossible without using a liquid hydrogen-liquid oxygen mixture as a fuel. In such cases, anti-explosion problems are among the most crucial, the most complex and the least looked at. Results of theoretical studies and tests on explosion conditions and hydrogen-air and oxygen-air mixture flammability are presented; safety measures in such cases are proposed. C.C.
