Summary

THE THERMAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE METHANOL-LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC CHLORIDE SYSTEM (1:1 LITHIUM BROMIDE:ZINC CHLORIDE BY MASS) WERE MEASURED. THE MEASUREMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT AT VARIOUS TEMPERATURES AND ABSORBENT CONCENTRATIONS. THE SOLUBILITY DATA WERE OBTAINED IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 265.85-343.35 K (-7.15-70.35 DEG C). EMPIRICAL FORMULAE FOR THE HEAT CAPACITY AND THE SOLUBILITY OF THIS SYSTEM WERE OBTAINED FROM EXPERIMENTAL DATA. THE VAPOUR PRESSURE DATA WERE CORRELATED BY AN ANTOINE-TYPE EQUATION. THE INTEGRAL HEAT OF MIXING DATA WERE CORRELATED BY A REDLICH-KISTER-TYPE EQUATION.
