Summary
This paper describes the main features of existing ventilation used in the Budapest metro, and then presents the climatic conditions and thermal comfort in passenger and operative areas. Based on measurements and previous studies, the author's objective is to define a new economic main ventilation system and mode of operation complying with current technical requirements.
