THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND VISCOSITY OF A NEW STRATOSPHERICALLY SAFE REFRIGERANT: 1,1,1,2-TETRAFLUOROETHANE (R134A).

Summary

MEASUREMENTS ON THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND VISCOSITY OF R134A ARE DISCUSSED. THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IS MEASURED BY A TRANSIENT HOT WIRE METHOD IN THE AUTHORS RESEARCH LABORATORY OVER A TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 278 TO 327 K (5 TO 54 DEG C). VISCOSITY IS MEASURED BY OSTWALD VISCOMETER IN A TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 248 TO 343 K (-25 TO 70 DEG C). CORRELATION EQUATIONS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THESE PROPERTIES OVER THE RANGE OF MEASURED DATA.
