THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF SATURATED R123 AND R134A: TRANSIENT HOT WIRE MEASUREMENTS.

Author(s) : GROSS U.

Summary

EXPERIMENTAL DATA RANGE FROM THE SATURATION CURVE TO THE SUPERHEATED GAS AND SUBCOOLED LIQUID REGIONS. EMPIRICAL FORMULAE ARE GIVEN FOR THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF THE SATURATED LIQUID R123 AND R134A AND OF THE SATURATED VAPOUR. THERMAL CONDUCTIVITIES OF R123 AND R134A, IN THE VAPOUR STATE, ARE HIGHER THAN THOSE OF R11 AND R12, BY 30 AND 50% RESPECTIVELY. LIQUID THERMAL CONDUCTIVITIES FOR R134A ARE ABOUT 20% HIGHER THAN THOSE FOR R12, AND THOSE FOR R123 ARE ABOUT 20% LOWER THAN THOSE FOR R11.
