Summary

The new " F-gas" European regulation, coming into force on January 1, 2015, provides for a gradual phase-down of the use of certain refrigerants, the development of the use of natural refrigerants such as NH3 (ammonia), CO2 and HC (hydrocarbons) and "information" for staff involved in their handling. AFF summarized this in a new study "Training in the handling of so-called natural refrigerants " dealing with training needs and means available today likely to guarantee the effectiveness of the measures that could be implemented in line with these new texts. This study first maps currently available training for "natural" fluids : ammonia (NH3), R 744 (CO2) and hydrocarbons (HC). It then assesses training requirements according to the number of staff to be trained. In addition, the association proposes training programs and mentions the necessary investments required.
