Transport critical current density of melt-processed filamentary DyBa2Cu3O(y) superconductors.

Author(s) : IKEBE Y., BAN E., MATSUOKA Y., et al.

Summary

The authors studied the fabrication and characterization of filamentary Dy123 superconductors prepared by a solution spinning method. The precursor filament was partially-melted in flowing 1%O2+Ar and 20%O2+Ar at various temperature. It was found that Jc value at 77 K and self-field is significantly influenced by both partial melting temperature and atmosphere gas. The filamentary sample partially melted in 20%O2+Ar exhibited a dense microstructure and a fine dispersion of Dy211 particles.
