Transportation of strawberries from Norway.

Summary

From 1994 to 1997 there has been a project looking into the challenges of exporting Norwegian strawberries. The possibilities for export from Norway are good, especially since the Norwegian varieties are sweet and juicy. A small municipality in the middle of Norway that has been growing strawberries for 100 years wanted to expand their market. As a part of this project, experiments have been performed on chilling, storage and transportation of different strawberry varieties. The paper includes the main result of the project.
