Summary
Several petroleum-based fuels for engines or ovens show viscosity or freezing point characteristics in very cold weather that prevent smooth operation. Many patents have been taken out in Japan concerning additives, generally insaturated-ether and ethylene copolymers. Other compounds also have a bright future ahead.
