Summary
A positively ventilated onion bin of 14.5 m3 capacity was developed to store onions in the temperature range 25 to 32 deg C at 60-75% RH using ambient air only. Details of trials in the Yemen are given, 210 days storage resulted in 83% of the bulbs being acceptable compared to the traditional storage result of 11%.
