Summary
The phase-out of R22 and pressure to reduce the impact of refrigerants on the environment have boosted innovations, particularly in commercial refrigeration. This article presents the state of the art in terms of new refrigerants, both for direct-expansion systems and secondary-refrigerant systems, depending on the type of plant and operating conditions.
