Zero ODP blowing agent options for rigid polyurethane insulating foams.

Author(s) : JEFFS M., VOS R. de

Summary

The need for flexibility in terms of the choice of zero ODP options is described and the pros and cons of both hydrocarbon and HFC options will be discussed. Practical examples of applications where hydrocarbon options have been proven will be given as well as those where HFC-134a is already being used to good effect. HFCs 245fa and 365mfc have already been tested in many applications and indicate that excellent results will result from their future use.
