THE AUTHORS SHOW HOW THE NEW ZEALAND MEAT INDUSTRY CAN PERMANENTLY PROVIDE PREVENTION MEASURES, EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND EMPLOYEE TRAINING. THE MANAGEMENT CAN COMBINE ALL ASPECTS OF PREVENTION AND DECIDE FOR EACH BUILDING WHICH SAFETY STANDARD SHOULD BE APPLIED. THE AUTHORS STRESS THE SAFETY OF STAFF, SPECIFYING MINIMUM EGRESS DISTANCES AND EASY ACCESS FOR FIRE FIGHTERS. THE USE OF SPRINKLERS IS ADVISED IN SOME PARTS OF THE BUILDING.
