A heat pump with direct expansion solar collectors and a coupled forced-gravity cycle.

Author(s) : KAZACHKI G. S.

Summary

A heat pump is described of which the heat source is provided by direct expansion solar collectors, which are more efficient than traditional collectors using ground heat. This technique allows a higher temperature stability of the heat source. This is particularly applicable in cold and sunny countries. The heat pump is described as well as its operating conditions.
