Summary

THE EQUIPMENT IS AN ELECTRICAL MOBILE UNIT. THE SYSTEM USES WATER RECIRCULATION, WATER BEING DRAWN FROM THE SURFACE OF A TANK, IS COOLED IN AN EVAPORATOR AND IS RETURNED TO THE BASE OF THE TANK VIA A SUMP. REFRIGERATED SEA WATER IS PUMPED FROM THE TANK INTO TWO CONTAINERS FOR THE STORAGE OF FISH THROUGH SPARGE PIPES. ADDITIONAL TANKS CAN BE USED FOR THE FISH PLACED IN ICE AND REFRIGERATED SEA WATER. PROBLEMS CONNECTED WITH SALT UPTAKE AND ICE FORMATION ON THE HEAT EXCHANGER ARE DISCUSSED.
