Summary
A NEW TYPE OF HYDROCOOLER IS DESCRIBED AND TESTED. IT CAN OPERATE EITHER BY SPRAYING OR BY IMMERSING OR BY INTERMEDIATE METHOD. TESTS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED WITH CRATES OF CARROTS, THEY WERE STACKED ON 9 LAYERS' PALLETS. THE IMMERSION METHOD IS SLIGHTLY MORE EFFECTIVE, THE EFFICIENCY IS THE VERY SAME IN THE 4 UPPER LAYERS, AND LESS EFFICIENT IN THE LOWER LAYERS. THE MACHINE PRECOOLS ANY KIND OF PRODUCT EVENLFNS TEMPERATURE AGAINST TIME CURVES WERE ESTABLISHED WITH SALADS, RADISHES, POTATOES, CELERY, CABBAGES, APPLES AND LEEKS. THE DEVICE IS PORTABLE AND CAN OPERATE IN PLANT OR IN THE HARVEST-FIELDS.
