Summary
In order for ammonia to be used more widely as a refrigerant, safety requirements will have to be met. Using the example of a bivalent heat pump plant, a possible solution is described. It is provided, that in addition to energy advantages, ammonia can be used in heat pump plants safely and at acceptable expense.
