INDEPENDENT PERFORMANCE TESTS CONDUCTED ON AN EARLY SIX-VANE 0.490 L CONSTRAINED ROTARY VANE OPEN COMPRESSOR USING R114 AS THE TEST REFRIGERANT DEMONSTRATED A COP OF 4.67 WHILE DELIVERING ABOUT 11.7 KILOWATTS/H AND OPERATING ACROSS A TEST CONDITION OF 280-322 K (7-49 DEG C) THE LOW-PRESSURE VAPOUR COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY DESCRIBED HERE HAS BEEN AND IS BEING DEMONSTRATED IN NON-CFC MOBILE AND AIR-TO-AIR RESIDENTIAL AIR-CONDITIONING, 2 KILOWATTS ELECTRIC SOLAR-THERMAL ORGANIC RANKINE POWER GENERATION, AND WATER-TO-AIR REVERSING HEAT PUMPS.
