Summary
An experimental study has been conducted to determine the characteristics of R22 for vehicle refrigeration systems in Korea, as a possible alternative to R502. Heat transfer coefficients have been measured in a horizontal copper tube with an inner diameter of 10.7 mm and a length of 2.8 m. The purpose of this study is to determine the heat transfer coefficients of R22 evaporation and compare these data with predictions by known correlations.
