Summary
Transient characteristics of an evaporator installed in a vapour compression heat pump system using R22 as a working fluid were experimentally investigated in the case of step change in the inlet refrigerant flow rate. The test evaporator was a double-tube heat exchanger in which the refrigerant flowed inside the inner tube, and the heating water flowed countercurrently in the surrounding annulus. Results are given.
