Summary
Refrigeration by liquid gases has some advantages compared with mechanical refrigeration. This is illustrated by some examples: cold grinding, with a higher yield; cutting and mixing in the meat industry; quick chilling of dough in the bakery industry; high velocity of freezing; preventing peak loads of electric energy; refrigerating vans with less noise pollution. The economic advantages compared with mechanical refrigeration are also discussed.
